Reed Education are delighted to be recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Doncaster from September 2026 through to July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated KS1 practitioner who is passionate about securing strong outcomes for pupils at a crucial stage in their primary education.
The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
*Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
*Confidently teach and support pupils through their end of Key Stage 1 expectations and assessments
*Demonstrate secure knowledge and delivery of Read Write Inc (RWI) phonics
*Maintain high standards of behaviour through effective classroom management
*Accurately assess and track pupil progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential
*Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families
*Be proactive and willing to get stuck in to all aspects of school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
*Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
*Confidence and experience delivering RWI phonics
*Excellent behaviour management skills
*A passion for consistently delivering high-quality teaching
*A committed, adaptable, and hands-on approach
*Dedication to supporting pupils in achieving their best outcomes
