About the RoleWe are looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated learning needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils throughout their educational journey. Working closely with teachers and the wider school team, you’ll help create a positive learning environment where every pupil feels safe, supported, and valued.
Key Responsibilities*Support pupils with learning activities and personal care where required
*Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
*Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
*Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
*Adapt your approach to meet individual pupil needs
*Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment
About YouWe’re looking for someone who is:
*Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic
*Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
*Flexible, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
*Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Essential Requirements*GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 3 or above
*Experience working with children or young people with SEN (paid or voluntary)
*Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Desirable*Level 2 (or above) qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
*Knowledge or experience of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
