Full job descriptionHigher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Canterbury
We are currently recruiting for a HLTA to join a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and resilient HLTA looking to make a genuine impact within SEN education.
You will support across the classroom, lead small group interventions, and provide additional behavioural and emotional support to pupils. This school offers a supportive environment with a strong focus on helping students build confidence, engagement, and independence.
The Role:*Working as a HLTA within a SEMH setting
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Delivering interventions and classroom support
*Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in Canterbury
*Working closely with Teachers and SEN professionals
What We’re Looking For:*Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
*Experience supporting SEMH or SEN pupils is highly desirable
*A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
