We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Chorley area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role*Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning
*Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
*Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate*Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils
*Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
*Patient, calm, and empathetic approach
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
*Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
