Full job descriptionTradeWind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our growing pool of supply staff supporting a variety of secondary schools across Doncaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in education, experienced cover supervisors, graduates, or those with transferable experience working with young people.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and working within the school’s behaviour policies.
Responsibilities*Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
*Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
*Managing classroom behaviour effectively
*Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
*Supporting students with questions relating to the work set
*Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour
*Following all school safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements*Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting is desirable
*Strong classroom management and communication skills
*Confidence leading groups of students
*Flexible, adaptable, and professional approach
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
*Right to work in the UK
