Full job descriptionThe Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial operations and providing accurate analysis to aid decision-making in the energy and natural resources industry. This permanent role is ideal for individuals with 1-2 years of experience working across transactional finance that are looking to up-skill in a more engaging, commercial finance role.

Description
*Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to support business decisions.
*Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
*Monitor and evaluate financial performance against key metrics.
*Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
*Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
*Identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Profile
A successful Finance Analyst should have:
*A strong educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
*1-2 years of experience in an entry-level finance and accounting role.
*Demonstrable experience of working within transactional finance.
*An eye for commercial finance, ability to identify potential trends and opportunities.
*Strong Excel skills.
*A demonstrable interest in using AI and other reporting tools to innovate processes.
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues.
