Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Truro seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
About the RoleYou will be working within a vibrant Early Years setting, supporting children at a crucial stage in their development. This role combines whole-class support, small group work, and 1:1 intervention, helping young learners build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
This is a full-time position (Monday–Friday) starting in September, offering consistency, progression, and the chance to become a valued member of the school community.
What You’ll Be Doing*Supporting children across EYFS (Nursery/Reception) in daily classroom activities
*Delivering targeted phonics, literacy, and numeracy support
*Providing 1:1 and small group interventions where needed
*Helping to create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment
*Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN where required
*Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance learning outcomes
What We’re Looking For*Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (essential)
*Experience working in an EYFS or primary school setting
*Strong understanding of early child development and learning through play
*A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
*Confidence supporting children with varying needs, including SEN (desirable)
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
