The RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to step into a Children’s Homes Manager position, overseeing two 2-bed residential homes with a strong focus on relationships and therapeutic support.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities*Lead and manage two residential children’s homes, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
*Register with Ofsted and drive Good to Outstanding inspection outcomes
*Embed therapeutic approaches to support children’s emotional wellbeing
*Oversee budget management and resource allocation
*Conduct quality assurance and audits, implementing continuous improvements
*Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team
*Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding frameworks
*Act as a strong advocate for children, ensuring their voice is central to service delivery
*Build effective partnerships with families, professionals, and stakeholders
About You*Extensive experience in children’s residential care, ideally as a Registered Manager (or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up)
*Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
*Strong leadership and people management skills
*In-depth knowledge of:
*Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
*Children Act 2004
*Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023)
*Experience managing budgets, performance, and service delivery
*A passion for therapeutic care and improving outcomes for children
Qualifications*Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare)
*(or willingness to achieve within 3 years)
*Minimum:
*2 years’ recent experience in children’s residential care
*1 year’s experience supervising or managing staff
