Full job descriptionPart-Time Science Teacher - SEN Secondary Provision | Southwark | September Start (or sooner)
Are you a creative and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking to make a real difference in a specialist SEN setting? We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Science Teacher to join a highly supportive and therapeutic secondary SEN school in Southwark, working with students with a range of complex learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and engaging teacher who can bring Science to life through hands-on, creative, and sensory-based learning.
The Role:*Deliver engaging Science lessons at primary and foundation levels
*Teach students with MLD, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy
*Plan creative, practical, and sensory-based learning experiences (e.g. outdoor learning, experiments, gardening projects)
*Support more able learners with potential progression towards GCSE Science
*Work collaboratively with a supportive SEN team and therapists
*Create a safe, inclusive, and highly engaging learning environment
Timetable:*Part-time: Monday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Thursday
*Start date: September (earlier start possible)
We are looking for someone who:*Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
*Has experience teaching Science within SEN or inclusive settings
*Is creative, energetic, and highly engaging in their teaching style
*Can adapt lessons to a wide range of learning abilities
*Has strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach
*Is passionate about making Science accessible and enjoyable for all learners
