Full job descriptionWe are currently seeking a patient and nurturing 1:1 tutor to support a young learner in the DT5 area with Maths and English.
The young person is in Year 2 but currently working at a Year 1 level, and requires a highly personalised, low-pressure approach due to SEMH and additional needs.
About the role:
*Deliver 2 hours per week (1 hour Maths, 1 hour English)
*Sessions to take place in the afternoon, following school attendance in the morning
*Potential to increase hours over time, depending on engagement
*Focus on building confidence, engagement, and emotional regulation alongside learning
*Support a young person who is not yet able to access a full school day
The ideal tutor will:
*Have at least 6 months’ experience within a UK education setting
*Have experience (or strong understanding) of SEMH needs
*Be confident delivering KS1 Maths and English (around Year 1 level)
*Be patient, adaptable, and nurturing, able to adjust sessions based on emotional readiness
*Focus on relationship building and engagement before academic demand
What we offer:
*£25-£30 per hour
