Description
*Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic business decisions.
*Provide variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
*Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures within the department.
*Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
*Collaborate with other departments to deliver financial insights and support business growth.
*Oversee cash flow management and provide recommendations for improvement.
*Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
*A professional accounting qualification or equivalent education in Accounting & Finance.
*Proven experience in financial reporting and management accounting within the retail industry.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
