Job Description:
Full job descriptionProspero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced Early Years Teaching Assistants to join a range of welcoming Primary and Nursery Schools in Birmingham, with opportunities available for September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate and nurturing individuals who enjoy supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their development. We have opportunities available on a full-time, part-time, and flexible supply basis, allowing you to find work that suits your schedule.
Some roles may involve supporting children with additional needs, including:
-Autism (ASC)
-Speech and Language difficulties
-SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
-Behavioural challenges
**Please note: due to the age of pupils, personal care may be required as part of the role.
Role Details
*Location: Hodge Hill
*Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)
*Start Date: September 2026
*Duration: Ongoing
*Contract Type: Temporary
*Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
*Working Pattern: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Supply
Experience, Training & Qualifications
To be considered, you must:
*Hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
*Have previous experience working within a school or nursery setting, either in a permanent or supply capacity
*Be passionate about supporting children within Early Years education
An up-to-date Safeguarding certificate is essential. If you have not completed training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge.
To be eligible, you must:
*Have the Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
*Provide two professional references relating to children
