THE ROLE:
The appointed solicitor will represent clients across a broad range of criminal matters, including police station attendance, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court proceedings, providing clear legal advice, advocacy, and case preparation. You will manage key administrative responsibilities such as correspondence, negotiations, time recording, billing, and ensuring Legal Aid Agency compliance, while staying up to date with legal developments and undertaking supervision duties or out of hours work where required.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are open to candidates with strong communication and excellent problem solving skills, alongside the ability to prioritise effectively, work to targets, and demonstrate a high level of IT proficiency. The successful applicant will be a qualified legal professional with experience using the Legal Aid Portal and funding procedures; experience in privately funded work, Police Station Accreditation, and Duty Solicitor status would be advantageous.

THE PACKAGE:
