Full job descriptionInterim Head of Quality and Assurance (Adults Commissioning)
Duration: Approximately 6 months
Start Date: Immediate
Working Pattern: 1–2 days per week on site Walsall.
Rate and IR35 Negotiable
The Opportunity
This is a critical interim leadership opportunity to lead the redesign and delivery of Adult Social Care Quality Assurance function during a significant period of transition. The Client is moving from an outsourced quality assurance model back to an in-house service and requires an experienced leader to establish a robust, visible and effective approach to quality oversight across the adult social care provider market.
The successful candidate will take ownership of:
*Reviewing and strengthening governance and oversight arrangements for quality assurance
*Leading the transition of the outsourced quality service back in-house, including workforce management implications and embedding a new operating structure
*Establishing a proactive and visible quality presence within the provider market, ensuring officers are equipped to undertake quality visits and respond effectively to emerging concerns
*Designing and embedding a refreshed quality assurance framework, including provider self-assessment processes and supporting technology solutions
*Providing clear oversight of risk across the care market, including escalation into safeguarding processes where appropriate
*Leading recruitment activity and capability development within the newly structured quality function
Candidates will bring:
*Significant experience within adult social care quality assurance and provider oversight
*A strong track record of designing and implementing quality assurance frameworks
*Demonstrable transformation experience, including service redesign and workforce transition
*The credibility and leadership capability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cultural change
*The ability to operate at pace across both strategic and operational priorities
