*Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and related filings.
*Provide expert advice on tax matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to regulations.
*Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
*Collaborate with external advisors and auditors as needed for tax-related matters.
*Develop and maintain efficient tax reporting systems and processes.
*Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and implement best practices across the department.
*Prepare and present tax-related reports to senior management.
Profile
A successful Tax Manager should have:
*A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
*Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations, especially in a retail context.
*Proven ability to manage tax compliance and reporting processes effectively.
*Experience in providing tax advice to internal or external stakeholders.
*Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
*The ability to stay updated on changes in tax legislation and apply them accordingly.
