Rate: £19.20 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-time, 4-week temporary assignment
We are currently working with a local authority in Halifax who are looking to bring in an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester on a short-term basis to support their workshop.
The role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned maintenance and responsive repairs across a mixed fleet, including:
*HGVs
*Light commercial vehicles
*Cars
*Accessible buses
*Plant and equipment
Duties will include:
*Carrying out repairs and maintenance to fleet vehicles and equipment
*Attending breakdowns and accidents as required
*Conducting MOT tests (Class IV, V & VII) and taxi compliance testing
*Taking enforcement action where vehicles fail compliance standards
*Delivering inspections both in the depot and on-site
*Working safely and efficiently at all times
Requirements
*Must be a Nominated MOT Tester (Class IV, V & VII)
*City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Technician qualification or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
*Experience working across a mixed vehicle fleet
*Ability to work independently and respond to urgent repairs/breakdowns
