Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in Milton Keynes that supports students with a range of special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This exciting opportunity in Milton Keynes is ideal for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher who is committed to helping learners overcome barriers to education and achieve their full potential. The school in Milton Keynes provides a supportive and nurturing environment where staff are empowered to make a lasting impact on students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils. Experience teaching core subjects such as Maths, English, or Computing is highly desirable. Previous experience working within SEN or SEMH settings is preferred; however, applications from teachers with a strong mainstream background and a genuine interest in specialist education are also welcomed.
Salary
£34,000 - £52,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
*Support students with a range of additional needs and barriers to learning.
*Foster positive relationships and create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
*Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise student outcomes.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience teaching Maths, English, Computing, or another core subject.
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
*A passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
*SEN or SEMH experience preferred but not essential.
