This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm that has been supporting businesses for over a century.
The firm has built a reputation for delivering proactive advice, developing long-term client relationships and helping businesses achieve sustainable growth. Continued expansion has created an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join the team and play a key role in the next phase of growth.
This role offers genuine autonomy, strong client exposure and a clear pathway for progression within a people-focused and forward-thinking environment.
The RoleWorking closely with Directors and Partners, you will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients while supporting and developing the wider team.
Responsibilities will include:
*Managing a varied portfolio of accounts clients
*Reviewing year-end statutory accounts
*Reviewing corporation tax computations
*Acting as the primary point of contact for clients
*Building long-term relationships with business owners
*Managing workflow, deadlines and team utilisation
*Supporting and mentoring junior and senior team members
*Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory services
*Working closely with Tax, Audit and Advisory teams
*Supporting business development and networking activities
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*ACA or ACCA qualification
*Strong experience gained within UK accountancy practice
*Experience managing a client portfolio
*Previous team management or supervisory experience
*Strong technical accounts knowledge
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Commercial awareness and an advisory mindset
*A desire to contribute to the growth and development of the wider business
