OverviewMy client is a well-established Building Services Consultancy, renowned for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical design solutions across a diverse range of sectors throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Manchester office.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities*Designing and developing electrical systems for a variety of building projects
*Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
*Conducting technical analysis and preparing detailed reports
*Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress and requirements
*Ensuring compliance with current industry standards and regulations
*Supporting the delivery of sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions
Key Responsibilities*Produce electrical building services designs across a broad range of projects
*Oversee project delivery from concept through to completion
*Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculations
*Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal design teams
*Attend project and client meetings, providing technical expertise and leadership
*Ensure all designs comply with current regulations and best practices
*Support and mentor junior engineers where required
Required Skills & Experience*Minimum 3 years’ experience within Electrical Building Services Engineering
*Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
*Strong technical knowledge of building services design principles
*Proficiency in:*Revit
*Dialux
*AutoCAD
*Bluebeam

*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Ambition to progress towards Chartered Engineer status
Desirable ExperienceExperience within the following sectors would be advantageous:
