*Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
*Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
*Manage and improve accounting processes and systems.
*Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
*Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
*Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
*Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
*A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
*Proven experience in financial management and reporting.
*Experience with Grants & Funding
*Experience within the not-for-profit sector
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
*Proficiency in financial software and tools.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*The ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
