Job Description:
Full job descriptionIf you are early in your insurance career and want a Junior Account Handler role where you can learn properly, build your technical knowledge and work with people who will actually support your development, this is well worth a look. It will suit someone who is organised, switched on and keen to build a long-term career in commercial insurance rather than just taking another back-office job.
You will be joining a team where there is room to grow and where good habits are built early. For someone who wants exposure to clients, insurers and the day-to-day running of commercial accounts, this is a chance to get close to the work, understand how a book is managed and become a reliable part of a busy and professional team.
The opportunity
*This is a Junior Account Handler role based in South West London, supporting the servicing of commercial insurance clients across a varied portfolio.
*You will be working alongside experienced Account Handlers and Account Executives, helping with renewals, policy changes, documentation and general client support while building your confidence and knowledge as you go.
*It is a good fit for someone who wants structure, proper training and a clear route to develop within the industry.
What the role looks like
*You will be involved in the day-to-day handling of commercial insurance business, supporting the team with administration, client servicing and insurer communication. Over time, you will build the technical grounding and commercial awareness needed to take on more responsibility and develop into a fully-fledged Account Handler.
Responsibilities
*Supporting the team with renewals, policy administration and day-to-day account handling work
*Assisting with mid-term adjustments, client queries and documentation
*Liaising with insurers to obtain information, terms and updates
*Preparing reports, renewal packs and general correspondence
*Keeping client records accurate and up to date
*Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure service standards are maintained
*Learning the technical side of commercial insurance and developing your confidence with clients and markets
Who this could suit
*Someone with some insurance experience who wants to move into a broader commercial role
*A junior handler or insurance administrator ready for the next step
*Someone at the start of their career who is bright, organised and serious about building a future in insurance
*A person who enjoys detail, communicates well and wants to learn from experienced people around them
The business
*You would be joining an established insurance environment where development is taken seriously and where junior people are given the chance to build real skills. The team is professional, supportive and well suited to someone who wants to learn the right way.
Package and benefits
*South West London based role
*Strong training and development potential
*Exposure to commercial insurance clients and markets
*Supportive team environment
*Clear long-term career opportunity
The next step
If you would be open to hearing more, I would be happy to talk you through it properly and in confidence. This could be a very good move for someone who wants to get their footing in commercial insurance and build from there.
