We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee the core finance function, including AP and AR operations, within a dynamic housing environment. This role will take ownership of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end audit support, while driving improvements to financial processes, controls, and policies. You will play a key role in leading a transactional finance team through change, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a socially driven organisation delivering essential housing services.
Financial Controller General Responsibilities:
*Supervision of transactional finance (AR & AP)
*Lead AP and AR through a period of change
*Lead on monthly reconciliations
*Lead on month end
*Support year-end audit work
*Assist with the improvement of financial policies & procedures
Ideal Candidate:
*Previous Financial Controller experience
*Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
*Strong people manager, can hit the ground running/self-starter
*Previous Social Housing experience
*Finance improvements experience
*Management experience (team of 6+)
