Full job descriptionWe are looking for a Data and Reporting Engineer to join the team at our Blythe Bridge depot!
The Data & Reporting Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-led decision making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
*Reporting & Dashboard Delivery.
*Data Engineering & SQL Development.
*Data Quality & Governance Support.
*Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience
Technical
*Strong SQL capability
*Hands-on experience delivering reports using:
-QlikView (data loads, scripting, set analysis, dashboards)
-Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query, visuals, workspace practices)
-SSRS (report development, datasets, parameters, subscriptions, scheduling)
*Understanding of data modelling concepts (facts/dimensions, measures, grain, hierarchies).
*Experience integrating data from multiple systems and dealing with imperfect source data.
*Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or HTML to support data manipulation, automation, or report customisation.
Analytical & Delivery
*Ability to convert requirements into clear technical design and deliver working solutions.
*Strong troubleshooting skills.
*Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment balancing BAU reporting support with change delivery.
Communication
*Able to explain data concepts and report logic to non-technical stakeholders.
*Strong documentation habits: definitions, assumptions, report purpose, and change notes.
Desirable (Advantageous) Skills & Experience
*Epicor BisTrack experience (reporting, data structures, operational workflows such as sales orders, purchasing, inventory, pricing, site performance).
*Exposure to data warehousing / lakehouse concepts and/or modern cloud data platforms.
*Familiarity with data governance, KPI standardisation, and master data management concepts.
