Key Responsibilities
*Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs).
*Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
*Delivering tailored support to help pupils engage in learning and develop essential skills.
*Assisting with behaviour support in line with school policies.
*Creating a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
*Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
*A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children.
*A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a specialist school setting.
Qualifications (Desirable but Not Essential)
*Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
*SEN-specific training (e.g., Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Makaton)
