An international banking group is seeking a VP-level TMT Corporate Research Analyst to deliver independent, forward-looking industry intelligence across EMEA. The role combines deep sector research, credit monitoring and transactional insight, with significant autonomy and senior stakeholder exposure.
About Our Client Our client is a leading international banking group with a strong corporate and investment banking platform across EMEA. Its Corporate Research function plays a central role in shaping strategy, supporting origination and protecting the balance sheet by providing independent, high-quality industry intelligence to senior stakeholders across the bank.
Job Description This role sits within the Corporate Research Department , the bank’s dedicated industry intelligence and thought-leadership function . The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for the TMT sector , working closely with Front Office, Credit and Strategy teams in EMEA and globally.
Key responsibilities include:
*Producing frequent, high-quality TMT industry updates and in-depth thematic research (approximately 3–4 major reports per year)
*Providing independent industry and financial insight on live transactions, including reviewing and adjusting financial models
*Conducting regular credit monitoring of key TMT exposures and identifying early warning indicators
*Supporting senior stakeholders with clear views on industry trends, risks and strategic implications
*Building strong internal networks across coverage, credit and risk functions
*Developing external industry relationships and attending conferences, capital markets days and sector events
*Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the bank’s research strategy and analytical framework
The role is designed for someone who can operate largely independently , maintain very high analytical and writing standards, and act as a trusted internal expert.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Strong TMT sector experience , gained in Corporate Research, banking, credit, consulting or sector-focused corporates
*Advanced financial statement analysis and modelling capability
*A strong academic background from a top-tier institution, ideally supported by CFA, ACCA or similar qualifications
*Gravitas and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders across the bank
*A proactive, intellectually curious mindset with the ability to go beyond surface-level market commentary
Experience across data centres, digital infrastructure, AI-related ecosystems, telecoms, towers or fibre would be particularly advantageous.
