£28,000 - £30,000 DOE
THE ROLEYour responsibilities as a Trainee Buyer include:
*Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
*Raise purchase orders and track deliveries
*Maintain procurement records and supplier databases
*Assist supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives
*Support QS and Commercial teams with admin tasks and reporting
*Maintain records of orders, invoices, and supplier info
*Liaise with suppliers, site teams, and internal departments
*Assist with procurement schedules and project requirements
*Attend site visits and supplier meetings as needed
THE CANDIDATEThe ideal Trainee Buyer with be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
*Strong organisational and administrative skills
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
*Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
*Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
*Positive attitude and willingness to learn
*Basic commercial and construction industry knowledge preferred
*Full UK driving licence preferred
