Contract: Until Summer Holidays (with likely extension into September and potential for permanent role)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the RoleWe are working with a well-established SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role running until the end of the academic year, with a strong likelihood of extension into September and the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities*Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, SEMH, and/or complex needs).
*Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student well-being and progress.
*Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupil development.
*Manage behaviour positively, using appropriate strategies to meet individual needs.
*Maintain clear communication with parents/carers and external agencies where required.
The Ideal Candidate*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience working within an SEN setting or with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential for strong mainstream teachers with relevant experience).
*A patient, resilient, and flexible approach.
*Strong classroom management and differentiation skills.
*A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
