Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for a full-time Sports Coach to support within a specialist SEMH school in Salford. This is a long-term opportunity working with pupils who require additional support with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation.
This role is particularly suited to individuals with a background in sports coaching who are confident using physical activity, routine and structure to positively engage young people who may have struggled in mainstream education.
The RoleYou will work closely with pupils both inside and outside of the classroom, using sport and structured activity as a tool to build relationships and improve engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Delivering structured physical activity sessions to support engagement
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation
*Encouraging teamwork, participation and routine
*Supporting classroom learning where required
*Acting as a positive and consistent role model
The Ideal Candidate*Background in sports coaching, fitness or youth work
*Experience supporting behaviour or SEMH (preferred)
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Resilient, proactive and adaptable approach
*Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
