The London Borough of Hackney is currently recruiting Estate Waste Operatives to join the team at Millfields Recycling Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to keeping Hackney clean, safe, and environmentally sustainable.
About the RoleAs an Estate Waste Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and waste management standards across housing estates and recycling facilities. Duties will include:
*Collecting and managing household and recyclable waste
*Maintaining cleanliness across estate areas and around waste facilities
*Supporting recycling operations at our depots
*Ensuring waste is disposed of safely and in line with environmental regulations
*Interacting with residents and providing a high level of customer service
What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking reliable and hardworking individuals who:
*Are physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
*Have a strong work ethic and take pride in maintaining clean environments
*Can work effectively as part of a team
*Have good communication skills
*Previous experience in waste collection, street cleansing, or estate services is desirable.
