Do you enjoy working with tools, travelling to different locations, and solving problems?
If so, Newstaff Milton Keynes has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Roller Shutter Engineer to join a well-established and growing company specialising in the installation, servicing, and repair of roller shutters throughout the UK.
No previous roller shutter experience is required. If you have the right attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, full training will be provided.

Requirements
About the RoleYou will work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to install, service, maintain, and repair manual and motorised roller shutters at shopping centres, airports, retail units, and commercial properties.
Your duties will include:
· Assisting engineers with installations and repairs
· Learning fault-finding and maintenance techniques
· Using hand and power tools safely
· Loading and unloading equipment
· Completing job sheets and site paperwork
· Travelling to customer sites across the UK
· Providing excellent customer service
· Working as part of a professional engineering team
As your skills develop, you will take on more responsibility and progress within the business.
Who We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:
· Enjoys practical, hands-on work
· Is mechanically minded
· Can use basic hand and power tools
· Is reliable, punctual, and hardworking
· Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Works well as part of a team
· Has good communication skills
· Is comfortable travelling and staying away from home when required
Ideal Backgrounds Include:· Warehouse Operatives
· Construction Labourers
· Fitters Mates
· Maintenance Assistants
· Manufacturing Operatives
· Mechanical Assemblers
· Engineering Apprentices
· Skilled Trades Assistants
· Anyone with practical DIY or mechanical experience
Requirements· Full UK Driving Licence
· Ability to travel nationwide
· Applicants should ideally live within 40 minutes of Ampthill
CSCS Card, electrical qualifications, or engineering experience are advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
Please note that DBS/CRC checks may be required for certain high-security sites, including airports.

8:30am - 6:00pm
Overtime paid after 42.5 hours per week.
