The Role
Based at a well-established business in Welwyn Garden City, this Accounts Assistant role sits within a busy finance team and covers both sales ledger and bookkeeping functions. Key duties include:
*Raising and processing invoices onto the finance system
*Bank reconciliations across multiple entities
*Cashbook and general ledger entries and journals
*Analysing and reconciling card and fuel statements
*Processing employee expense and mileage claims
*General accounts administration and filing
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideally suited to an AAT student, part-qualified accountant or recent finance graduate. You will need:
*Currently studying AAT (Level 2, 3 or 4) or a recent graduate with a finance, accounting or business-related degree
*A genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance or accounting
*Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*The ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
*A collaborative, team-player attitude and willingness to support across a range of tasks
*Previous experience in an accounts, finance or bookkeeping role is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided
