Full job descriptionKey Account Manager | Christchurch | Up to £45,000
This is a business where everyone pulls in the same direction. From the top down, communication is open and clear, leaders are visible, and people are trusted to take ownership because the processes are there to back them up. Quality and getting things right the first time aren’t just buzzwords here — they’re how the place runs. As Key Account Manager, you’ll step into a commercial role that sits at the heart of that culture, managing high-value customer relationships in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment where your work genuinely matters.
As a Key Account Manager, you will benefit from:
*Genuine autonomy to manage and grow your own portfolio of key accounts
*Cross-functional exposure across operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain
*A specialist environment where deep sector knowledge is valued and developed
*Clear success measures and the opportunity to make a tangible commercial impact
*25 days holiday plus BH
*Health cash back plan
*Death in service
*Critical Illness cover
*Free parking
As a Key Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:
*Serving as the primary commercial contact for designated key accounts, building strategic, long-term relationships
*Leading proposals, quotations, pricing negotiations, and contract renewals to ensure profitability and compliance
*Monitoring contract performance against delivery schedules, quality standards, and SLAs
*Coordinating internal teams to support new product introduction, engineering changes, and programme ramp activities
*Tracking account performance metrics including revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction, reporting insights to senior management
*Identifying and pursuing growth opportunities within existing accounts through upselling and deeper customer integration
As a Key Account Manager, your experience will include:
*A background in account management or commercial roles within aerospace or aviation manufacturing
*Knowledge of contract management, negotiation, and commercial practices in a regulated environment
*Familiarity with CRM systems and commercial reporting tools
*Experience working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, or supply chain teams
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
If you’re ready to take ownership of high-value accounts in a technically complex and fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is the role to step into. Apply today with an up-to-date CV or call Amber Thorne at Rubicon for more information.
