Full job description Support Worker (Young Adults) – Permanent Role Salary: £12.87 – £14.03 per hour (dependent on competency & qualifications)
Bonus: £1,500 welcome bonus*
Location: Residential Home (Cambridge area)
Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time available, minimum 24 hours)
Training: Full training provided + funded Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care after probation
About the OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a highly rated, specialist residential setting (CQC Outstanding) supporting young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.
Set within 14 acres of beautiful grounds, this service provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where young adults are empowered to develop independence and transition into adulthood.
Facilities include:
Sensory gardens
Hydrotherapy pool
Skills centre & enterprise opportunities
Forestry school
Dedicated art & music spaces
The RoleAs a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of young adults by providing both practical and emotional support.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with personal care (toileting, dressing, hygiene, and appearance)
*Supporting health and medical needs
*Helping in therapies such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
*Encouraging independence and choice in daily activities
*Supporting activities like:
*Shopping trips
*Outdoor and forestry sessions
*Creative activities
*Social outings (yes—even trips to the pub!)
