Hours: 08:30 – 15:10, Monday to Friday | Full-Time/Part-Time (Term Time, Fixed Term)
Contract: Temporary / Permanent (flexibility around you)
Pay: £93 per day

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to work as Classroom Support Assistants across a range of secondary schools in Newport and the surrounding areas from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education, especially for those considering teaching, psychology, or working with young people long-term.

The Role:
*Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and daily classroom activities
*Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
*Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
We Are Looking For:
*Individuals looking to change career or start working in education
*Strong communication and people skills
*A patient, proactive, and positive attitude
*Experience working with people (e.g. customer service, care, coaching, youth work)
*A genuine desire to support young people
Requirements:
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
*EWC registration (required to work in Welsh schools – we’ll support you through the process so it’s quick and straightforward!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
