Full job descriptionHGV Class 2 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Milton Keynes on a temporary, ongoing basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked in a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.
Shifts
*Monday to Friday
*Early and late runs available
Rates of Pay
*£18.00 per hour (early/days)
*£20.00 per hour (lates/nights)

Day-to-Day Duties
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Operating and driving Category C vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
*Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
*Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
*Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
*Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
*Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
*Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
*A valid UK Category C licence
*A minimum of two years’ experience driving Category C vehicles
*No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
*A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
*A good level of spoken and written English
*Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
*A good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
*Strong communication skills
Desirable Experience
*Experience driving commercial vehicles
*Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training
*Driver’s assessment must be completed
*A paid induction will follow successful assessment
