Full job descriptionLead Compliance Excellence Within a Growing Financial Services OrganisationAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to join a well-established and rapidly growing consumer finance business as a Regulatory Compliance Team Manager.
This is a key second-line role reporting to the Head of Compliance, with responsibility for leading a small team and ensuring the effective delivery of compliance monitoring, regulatory advice, policy management, and risk oversight activities.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining a robust compliance framework while supporting the business in meeting its regulatory obligations and delivering positive customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, coach and develop a small Compliance team
*Manage the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan
*Review and challenge compliance outputs, ensuring consistency and quality
*Oversee the identification, escalation and remediation of compliance issues
*Support the maintenance of policies, procedures and regulatory controls
*Provide practical regulatory advice and guidance across the business
*Monitor regulatory developments and support change implementation
*Produce compliance reporting for senior management and governance forums
*Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation
About YouYou will be an experienced compliance professional with a background in consumer credit, lending, or a similar FCA-regulated environment.
Essential Experience*Regulatory compliance experience within financial services
*Experience managing, mentoring or developing team members
*Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and providing meaningful challenge
*Supporting regulatory change initiatives and compliance improvements
*Producing clear, practical and risk-based compliance advice
Knowledge & Skills*Strong understanding of FCA regulation, including Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and PRIN
*Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and data protection requirements
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
*Strong analytical and organisational abilities
*High attention to detail and commitment to quality
*Ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives
