We are partnering with a growing and dynamic organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controls within a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the wider business through accurate reporting and insightful analysis.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
*Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
*Prepare statutory accounts preparation and external audits
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
*Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee ledger integrity
*Support budgeting and forecasting activities
*Manage VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting requirements
*Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
*Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
About You
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
*Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and/or IFRS
*Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit
*Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
*Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
*Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
*Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused
