The RoleAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aftersales Manager to join a busy and successful automotive dealership in Basildon. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving performance across the Service and Parts departments, improving customer satisfaction, and maximising aftersales profitability.
You will lead a team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the aftersales operation.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, motivate, and develop the aftersales team.
*Oversee the daily operation of Service and Parts departments.
*Drive workshop efficiency, utilisation, and labour sales.
*Maximise aftersales revenue and departmental profitability.
*Monitor and improve customer satisfaction (CSI) scores.
*Manage departmental KPIs and implement performance improvement plans.
*Handle escalated customer complaints professionally.
*Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership processes.
*Control costs and manage departmental budgets effectively.
*Work closely with senior management to achieve business objectives.
Candidate RequirementsEssential*Previous experience as an Aftersales Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Service Leader.
*Strong leadership and people management skills.
*Proven track record of achieving aftersales targets and KPIs.
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Strong commercial and financial awareness.
*Full UK driving licence.
Desirable*Main dealer or franchise dealership experience.
*Manufacturer standards and audit experience.
*Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS).
