A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cheltenham is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by supporting pupils with behavioural challenges, helping them regulate emotions, engage with learning, and thrive in a mainstream classroom environment.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver tailored interventions, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This position is ideal for someone passionate about SEN, behaviour support, and child development.
The Role
*Provide targeted behavioural and emotional support
*Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote engagement and positive behaviour
*Implement effective behaviour management strategies and interventions
*Help create a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment in Cheltenham
*Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, and additional behavioural needs
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff as a proactive

*A patient, resilient, and empathetic
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
*A genuine passion for supporting children with behavioural needs
*Ability to remain calm, consistent, and proactive in challenging situations
*Experience in SEN, behaviour support, youth work, coaching, or childcare is desirable
*A motivated individual looking to grow as a Learning Support Assistant
