Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and resilient Tutor to support a 19-year-old learner with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis.
The learner presents with complex emotional difficulties, alongside needs in cognition and learning, language and communication, sensory and physical processing, social skills, and emotional regulation. A consistent, patient, and structured approach will be key to supporting engagement and progress.
*Location: Basingstoke
*Hours: 10 hours per week
*Start Date: ASAP
*Type: 1:1 Tutoring
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support and help a young adult build confidence, independence, and re-engagement with learning.


Requirements
*Experience working with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and complex emotional needs
*Understanding of additional needs including cognition, communication, and sensory differences
*Strong skills in supporting emotional regulation and engagement
*Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
*Ability to build trust and positive working relationships
*Experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
