PAYE: £320.33 per day
Limited/Umbrella: £421.24 per day
We are recruiting for an experienced SEN Tribunals and Mediation Officer to support a local authority on a remote basis. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing Special Educational Needs (SEN) appeals and mediations, providing expert support throughout the tribunal process.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing a caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals
*Preparing responses, evidence bundles, and case documentation
*Attending and representing the local authority at hearings
*Participating in Judicial Alternative Dispute Resolution (JADR) sessions
*Attending Tribunal Case Management Hearings (TCMHs)
*Leading and supporting mediation processes to achieve positive outcomes
*Liaising with parents, schools, legal representatives, and key stakeholders
*Providing advice and guidance on SEND legislation, regulations, and tribunal procedures
Requirements:
*Proven experience in SEND Tribunal and mediation work
*Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the tribunal process
*Experience attending hearings, JADRs, TCMHs, and mediations
*Excellent case management, negotiation, and communication skills
*Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment
