Location: MidlandsBased
Salary: Up to £44,000 basic
OTE: Up to £57,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client within the recycling and heavy machinery sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their service team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically biased multi-skilled engineer who enjoys working in the field and wants long-term stability, progression and strong earning potential.
The Role*Field-based position covering sites across the UK
*Installation, servicing and breakdown support on recycling machinery
*Working mainly on balers and compactors (desirable)
*Additional work on shredders and other heavy machinery (desirable)
*Fault finding, repairs and planned maintenance
*Electrical testing and diagnostics
*Completing digital service reports
*Occasional overnight stays (fully paid)
Machinery Experience (Desirable)*Balers
*Compactors
*Shredders
*Heavy recycling plant
Mechanical Skills*Hydraulics & pneumatics
*Chains, belts & bearings
*Pumps, valves & gearboxes
*Welding & fabrication
Electrical Skills*Electrical testing
*Sensors, relays, drives & inverters
*PLC fault finding (desirable)
Requirements*Background in recycling or heavy machinery
*Field service experience
*Full UK driving licence
*Able to work independently
*Strong customer service & communication skills
*Willing to stay away overnight when required
Package*Basic salary: Up to £42,000
*OTE: £57,000+
*Overtime paid at 1.5x
*Company van, tools & work phone provided
*Door-to-door travel paid
*Monday to Friday - Days
