About the RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver short-term and day-to-day cover during teacher absence. You’ll supervise pupils as they complete pre-set work, maintain a positive classroom environment, and ensure lessons run smoothly.
You’ll play an important role in keeping pupils engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities*Supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson plans
*Maintain calm, well-managed classroom environments
*Give clear instructions and keep pupils on task
*Encourage positive behaviour and participation
*Follow school policies and report any concerns
*Build strong professional relationships with pupils and staff
What We’re Looking For*Experience working with young people (school experience beneficial but not essential)
*Confidence managing a classroom independently
*Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
*A proactive, reliable approach
*A genuine interest in education
