About the RoleWe are currently supporting a specialist school in Essex with the recruitment of an Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, providing therapy to children and young people with a range of additional needs.
CaseloadYou will be working with pupils with:
*SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
*Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
*A range of additional SEND needs
The role involves supporting students to develop independence, emotional regulation, and functional life skills within an educational setting.
Responsibilities*Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions
*Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
*Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
*Support pupils with sensory, motor and emotional regulation needs
*Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
*Provide advice and training to staff and families where appropriate
Requirements*HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
*Experience working with paediatric caseloads
*Experience within SEN / SEMH settings is highly desirable
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
