Full job descriptionWarehouse OperativePeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our well-established client based in Livingston, West Lothian.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, full-time hours, and immediate starts within a busy warehouse environment. The role will predominantly involve processing and baling cardboard waste, alongside supporting general warehouse and furniture handling duties.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Picker Packer, Order Picker or Warehouse Assistant.
Shifts Monday to Friday: 10:00am - 6:30pm Some Saturday work will be required when the warehouse is open
Rates of Pay: £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
*Operating the cardboard baler and processing large volumes of cardboard waste
*Collecting, sorting and preparing cardboard for baling
*Wrapping sofas and furniture ahead of delivery
*Lifting, carrying and moving heavy furniture and flooring, including sofas
*Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
*Supporting general warehouse operations where required
*Maintaining a clean and safe working area at all times
Essential Skills
The skills required as a Warehouse Operative are:
*Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting throughout the day
*Comfortable carrying out repetitive manual tasks
*Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Attention to detail when handling furniture and warehouse stock
Desirable Experience
*Previous experience in a similar role such as furniture handling, warehouse, removals, recycling or waste management work
*Experience operating a cardboard baler is advantageous but not essential
Training Provided
*Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
