Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join a leading investment banking client on a 6-month contract. This role will focus on leading the delivery of high-performance, scalable systems within a complex financial environment.
The successful candidate will bring a strong hands-on engineering background alongside proven leadership experience, particularly with distributed or remote teams.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications
*Provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle
*Drive best practices in system architecture, performance, and scalability
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, architecture, and operations
*Manage and mentor distributed/remote engineering teams
*Ensure high-quality code standards, reviews, and continuous improvement
*Work closely with stakeholders within an investment banking environment
Required Skills & Experience
*Strong hands-on experience with:
*Java
*Kafka
*Oracle
*Angular
*Proven experience in a Technical Lead or similar leadership role
*Experience managing remote or distributed teams
*Strong understanding of system architecture and integration patterns
*Experience working within investment banking or financial services
Desirable Experience
*Experience with Prime services/systems (nice to have)
