This role focuses on:-
*Producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
*Supporting funding, reporting, and financial control processes
*Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness
*Working closely with Finance leadership and operational teams
It’s a hands-on, analytical role with strong collaboration across departments, especially fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
*Analyse budget vs actuals and explain variances
*Provide insightful financial commentary to leadership
Budgeting & Forecasting*Develop and track budgets and forecasts
*Support funding monitoring and financial planning
Funding & Revenue*Invoice funders according to grant agreements
*Track funding changes and support implementation
*Ensure Gift Aid and tax claims are accurate and timely
Financial Control & Compliance*Perform reconciliations (bank, VAT, payroll, suppliers)
*Support audits and ISO compliance
*Maintain financial policies and procedures
Operations & Process Improvement*Maintain asset register and monitor procurement
*Oversee purchase/sales ledger and supplier reconciliations
*Identify and implement process improvements
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:*Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*~2+ years post-qualified experience
*Strong management accounts and budgeting experience
*Good understanding of VAT
*Advanced Excel / Microsoft Office skills
Desirable*Experience with Xero
*Charity sector experience
*Payroll knowledge
