Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inventory & Procurement Manager to take ownership of purchasing, inventory management and supplier performance within a busy and growing business based near Romsey.
This is a key position responsible for ensuring products and materials are available to support customer demand whilst maintaining efficient stock levels and strong supplier partnerships. Working across multiple departments, you will play an important role in supporting operational performance, driving efficiencies and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded professional with a strong understanding of procurement, stock management and forecasting, alongside the ability to build effective supplier relationships and lead a small team.
The RoleAs Inventory & Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
*Managing the day-to-day purchasing and inventory functions
*Developing and implementing procurement strategies to support business growth
*Producing demand forecasts and analysing purchasing requirements
*Monitoring and optimising stock levels to ensure availability whilst minimising excess inventory
*Building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and distributors
*Negotiating supplier pricing, lead times, contracts, and service agreements
*Reviewing and enhancing procurement, inventory, and supply chain processes
*Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
*Working closely with internal departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time
*Producing management reports, forecasting data, and KPI analysis using Advanced Excel
*Supporting, developing, and managing a small team
About YouWe’re looking for an experienced procurement, purchasing or supply chain professional who enjoys taking ownership and making a positive impact within a business.
You will ideally have:
*Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management or supply chain operations
*Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory planning and demand forecasting
*Excellent supplier relationship management and negotiation skills
*Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
*Experience of logistics coordination and inventory optimisation
*Previous management or team leadership experience
