Full job descriptionAs a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting the wider finance function.

We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a growing retail business based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional to become part of a fast-paced and supportive finance team.
Description
*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching, batching and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Preparing payment runs in line with company procedures
*Handling supplier queries via phone and email
*Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
*Assisting with month-end processes and reporting requirements
*Supporting the finance team with ad hoc administrative duties
Profile
*Previous experience working within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
*Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
*Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
*A proactive and positive approach to work

*Salary up to £33,000 depending on experience
