Full job descriptionClassroom Support Assistant - Mainstream School - Newmarket - Start Date ASAPProspero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and experienced Classroom Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Newmarket. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role providing general classroom support as well as assisting pupils who may require additional help accessing learning. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, caring practitioner who is passionate about supporting children’s development and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
The school is looking for a patient, reliable and enthusiastic individual who can work effectively with the class teacher, support learning activities, and build strong relationships with pupils.
CONTRACT DETAILS*Location - Newmarket
*Position - Classroom Support Assistant
*Type of work - General classroom support (with some SEN support as required)
*Start date - ASAP
*Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
*Full time/part-time - Full time, Monday-Friday
*Minimum rate of pay - £90-£110 per day
*Hours - School hours (approx. 8:30am - 3:30pm)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS*Experience supporting children in a mainstream primary school
*Confidence supporting whole-class learning and small groups
*Understanding of SEN and ability to adapt support where needed
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
*Relevant TA/LSA/Classroom Support qualifications (desirable)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
*Provide two professional child-related references
